![]() ![]() Note: byuu, the author of this program, has more recently put out an updated UPS patcher, upset, as a replacement for Tsukuyomi UPS. The name is an homage to one of the most well known and polished IPS patchers around, Lunar IPS by FuSoYa (Tsukuyomi is the name of the moon god in Japanese mythology). ![]() Select Ignore and PATCH Outcome Congratulations Your ROM is working. Step 2 Browse your files Upper box for ROM and lower for UPS file Step 3 Now there is a box asking if file is invalid. So let's start Step 1 Open your NUPS and click on apply an UPS Patch. Step 3: Based on the picture in step 2, click on Apply IPS Patch to browse your IPS file. Step 2: Now, open Lunar IPS software, and the opened file should be the same as the image below. This original UPS patcher is called Tsukuyomi UPS. NUPS - GOOGLE IT ROM - SEARCH IT UPS PATCH - You have it. Step 1: Download Lunar IPS Patcher, extract the zip file and save it on your computer. UPS is completely future proof in that regard. But thanks to a condensed pointer encoding method, the file size can be infinite. The spec for UPS supports any file size, though the binary is currently limited to 4GB files due to libc limitations. The difficulty of implementing it is equal to IPS (it has trickier pointers, but no RLE magic). It is designed to be a direct replacement for IPS and to resolve all the problems that can occur with IPS, mainly it adds the so called checksum validation of the original file, which is being patched and therefore prevents any false patching and bugged roms (due to false patching). The USP patching format is different from NINJA/xdelta/etc. ![]()
